Creatives

“Those who create are rare; those who cannot are numerous. Therefore, the latter are stronger.” – Coco Chanel

According to dictionary.com, creativity is defined as the the ability to transcend traditional ideas, rules, patterns, relationships, or the like, and to create meaningful new ideas, forms, methods, interpretations, etc. Creativity comes in all shapes and sizes. There are artists, sculptors, lyricists and the like. However, I feel that so many people that do not believe that they are creative. I used to be one of these people. I used to think that I didn’t have much to offer in the area of creativity. Thus, I didn’t view myself as creative. I thought I wasn’t creative because I couldn’t draw pictures that were as beautiful as the pictures my friends drew. I wasn’t talented enough to use watercolors to create cool paintings. I would compare myself to others that were skilled in those areas. My barometer for creativity was being able to draw or paint. Because I was not as skilled as my friends in those areas I disqualified myself as being creative.

Comparison can be a dangerous thing because it makes you yearn for what others have and dismiss what you have. It took me a while to realize that I am creative. Just not in the areas that I thought determined creativity. My creativity came in a different form, the way I dress, the way I decorate the interior of a room, the way I write, and the way I sing. The truth is that we are all creative. We are creative because we were created by the Creator. Each of us are uniquely designed and different in our own amazing way. So go ahead and embrace your creativity and let it flourish! If there’s something creative you’ve been thinking of doing, take a tip from Nike and just do it! We need your creativity. The world needs your creativity.

Speaking of embracing your creativity, lets talk about the style for little bit. I love this short sleeve button down shirt. The floral print on this shirt is a pretty fun design. The pink flower in the pattern of this shirt reminds me of a hibiscus flower that can be found on my homeland of the Bahamas. So I guess this shirt provides a little nostalgia for me. Nonetheless, its a really fun and cool looking shirt.

This shirt is so fun that its a good idea to pair it with jeans or pants that are solid in color and devoid of patterns. So I decided to pair this shirt with a pair of black jeans. I definitely own a few pairs of black jeans. In my opinion, everyone needs 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 pairs of black jeans.

The watch on my wrist is one of my favorites. It’s such a clean clean watch. The watch has an all black wristband and faceplate. This watch is super versatile and pairs well with any casual or formal outfit. I’ve never worn this what and not received several compliments on the watch.

Lastly, I can’t say enough about these Tri color prime knit Adidas Original NMD’s. I haven’t even had a chance to take it easy and kick of these shoes because I never want to take them off. They are super comfortable and even more stylish. Prime knit NMD’s are all the rage right now. But I am so happy that I can wear these for hours on end and my feet remain happy. I don’t have one ounce of disappointment about these kicks. So if you come across a pair of prime knit nmd’s snag a pair. Because they don’t last long on the shelves.
