The What Ifs

Hey y’all,

Its been a crazy couple a days. I’ve been really busy and I have no idea where the time has gone. Doesn’t time fly? Anyway, I had a conversation yesterday that lead to an interesting thought. The thought we arrived to was, “what if we could go back and see what our life would be like if we made a few better decisions along the way?” The premise was based around the idea that would life be different if I could have avoided some of the boneheaded decisions made in the past. This is an interesting premise. We all have made our share of horrible decisions. Its easy to get stuck walking along the “what if” trail where you are constantly wishing things were different. So much so that you miss/downplay the great things that happened along the way. I consider myself a positive person. So I prefer to celebrate all the good things that’s happened along the journey. Of course I had my share of failures, lost jobs, failed relationships, financial troubles, etc. Experience is a great teacher ¬†and we all can learn from our failures and successes.

Sometimes we get so wrapped up in the fear of failure that it prevents us from taking steps or moving forward with a decision. Its hard making weighty decisions that can have a lasting impact on your life. Its also petrifying to make those decision when there is a degree of uncertainty involved. You know… the times when you just don’t know how it all will work out. I too struggle with this sometimes. I want all the answers right away. I want to figure it all out. Have the complete plan all laid out. But where’s the faith in that? I truly believe that God wants to be a part of every decision (whether large or small) that we make. Include God in all your decisions.

“The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him” – Psalms 37:23

“We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.” – Proverbs 16:9

If we submit to God’s lead, I believe he’ll meet our need according to his plan. I just wanted to encourage you to allow him to lead you in all your decisions because he has great plans for you and he will never lead you astray.

Now lets talk some style. I love the monochrome vibes from this look. Can we take a second to admire how bright this shirt is? This shirt is neon pink y’all. There’s nothing wrong with rocking the pastels! The bright highlighter colors are here in time for summer. There are so many fun and funky colors circulating right now. So get in the game y’all. When I saw this T shirt hoodie I was immediately drawn to it and not just because of the color. I just loved the concept of it. And oh is it comfortable.

Continuing with the monochrome theme, I added some white shorts. Don’t believe the “you can’t wear white after labor day” jibber jabber. Bring em out, bring em out! White is one of the coolest and coolest (temperature wise) colors you can wear this summer. So wear it!

The kicks completed this look. These shoes are super clean and I love the new technology found in the soles of the shoe. I can wear these chucks all day and my feet doesn’t hurt! Great job nike! For all y’all that didn’t know, Nike owns the Converse brand! This is a super simple but cool look right in time for summer! Hope you like it as much as I did!
